Product Description
This is 4.3 oz fiberglass mesh with 36 holes per square inch - ideal for working with small tiles.
Mosaic mesh can be cut very easily into any shape or size you need. If you're working on a project like a border near a ceiling or a kitchen / bathroom backsplash, you can create it in several, smaller sections or create one large mosaic and then cut it into smaller chunks (between the tiles) before installing. Then place it all together on the wall like pieces of a puzzle.
This mesh is sold in 10 foot long pieces measuring just over 3 feet wide. You will receive multiple 10' long pieces if you purchase more than one of this item (rather than a single sheet measuring 20' or 30' feet long, etc.)
Your mesh will be cut from a roll like the one in the photo and folded for shipping. Any creases can be smoothed by flattening out the mesh and stretching it by hand.
Place your mesh on a flat surface on top of your pattern, if you have one. It's a good idea to place a piece of clear plastic between the mesh and the surface/pattern beneath it because a little bit of glue will drip through. Use Weldbond Glue to place a small drop of glue on the back of each tile, and stick it directly to the mesh.
Allow 24-48 hours for the glue to dry before moving. Trim stray edges, pull off any plastic that may have stuck to the backside of your mesh, prepare your mosaic surface with adhesive and then stick the entire piece in place.
