As with all self-oiling cutters, the first use requires priming the oil system by depressing the cutting head several times until oil reaches the wheel.

While scoring, the oil fill cap should be opened 1/2 turn to improve oil flow. For lubrication, it is recommended to use a very light oil such as kerosene or a synthetic lubricant such as GAI Cutting Oil. The cutting head is replaceable.
